Traveler’s Diarrhea: How to Keep Your Stomach Safe

Most people plan their vacations months in advance, but thereís one thing they donít plan for: the onset of travelerís diarrhea (TD). TD is a common, travel-related illness that attacks 30-70 percent of travelers, depending on the time of year and destination. Symptoms range in severity, and often include cramping, diarrhea, vomiting, fever, and bloody stools. While TD usually lasts two to seven days, in certain instances, without treatment, symptoms can persist for months.
