Are Greens a No-No if on Anticoagulants?

Q. My doctor has prescribed Coumadin for my heart condition and told me to eliminate all leafy green vegetables including broccoli, lettuce, Brussels sprouts and cabbage. Is it really necessary to avoid all these healthful vegetables? A. No, not usually. If you maintain a fairly consistent intake of these vegetables, then your vitamin K intake will be consistent over time. And thatís whatís important.
