Report Card on Bacteria in Domestic Produce
The next time you wash green onions (scallions), cantaloupe and cilantro, take extra care. They were tops in bacteria in a first-time government survey of bacteria levels on eight popular domestically grown fruits and vegetables typically eaten raw.
