Put “Clean Eating” on Your Wellness Radar Today
You think you’ve heard all of the latest food and nutrition buzz words? Well, if "clean eating" hasn’t entered your vocabulary, you’re missing out on one of the latest wellness trends. Clean eating is all about choosing foods that are natural and wholesome—particularly foods that are free of chemicals, additives and preservatives, and refined, processed ingredients, according to Diane Welland, M.S., R.D., author of "The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Eating Clean." This eating style has some distinct advantages, including maintaining a healthy weight and better blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
