New Guidelines Target Eating Patterns

We’ve been waiting five years for the 2010 Dietary Guidelines to be released, and at last they’re here. So, what’s the big fuss? The Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee, a panel of the country’s leading food and nutrition scientists and experts, spent many long months reviewing the global nutrition science database and examining the country’s current eating habits in order to come up with this simple guide for eating to achieve optimal health. And, compared with the last, 2005, version the Dietary Guidelines have undergone quite a transformation.
