IOM’s Strategies to Reduce Sodium Intake
The Institute of Medicine released a consensus report online detailing strategies that might reduce America’s sodium consumption. On average, we consume more than 3,400 milligrams (mg) of sodium per day; the recommended maximum daily intake is 2,300 mg.
