The “Diabetic Diet” Comes of Age: New Research Focuses on Foods

The incidence of type 2 diabetes is soaring in all age groups, though it is especially prevalent in older people. Between 1990 and 2001, there was a 62% increase in diabetes; 17 million Americans now have the disease. And experts estimate that nearly six million have it and donít know it.
