Should You Ban Plastic Products From Your Kitchen?
Just as Dustin Hoffman’s neighbor predicted they would back in the 1967 film The Graduate, plastics have revolutionized our lives. Their use in foods is a good example. Not only do Americans buy, wrap and store food in plastic, but thanks to microwave ovens, today we even cook in it. Now, some scientists are questioning the wisdom of such widespread use, because chemicals from certain plastics can migrate into food.
