FDA Axes Dangerous Weight-Loss Supplement
Triax Metabolic Accelerator, marketed as an over-the-counter dietary supplement for weight loss and sold in health foods stores and over the Internet, is actually an unapproved drug containing a potentially dangerous thyroid hormone, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
