Fish Oil Linked to Fewer Heart Attacks, Strokes

If you've had a heart attack, taking fish oil capsules—a source of omega-3 fatty acids—may reduce your future risk of heart attack or stroke, suggests new research. Over 11,000 Italians who had recently suffered heart attacks and were taking preventive medication received either one gram of fish oil, 300 milligrams of vitamin E, both supplements or neither, every day for 3 years.The fish oil group experienced 15% fewer heart attacks, strokes and deaths
