Overcome Genes: Get Fit
Think the genes you inherited doom your thighs to be forever flabby or your middle to be perpetually paunchy? You may be born with those tendencies, but the good news is you don't have to be dictated to by your genes. Just get moving. According to research in the June 1 Annals of Internal Medicine, exercise can keep body fat low, even for those genetically prone to overweight.
