FTC Says No-Go for Ensure and Thinzetta Pizza Ad Claims
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is supposed to police the airways and print media for false or unsubstantiated advertising claims. Though not always quick on the draw, the government watch-dog agency has stepped up efforts to increase its visibility. Consumers should benefit, especially if the legal actions discourage other companies from making misleading claims. The FTC has recently come down hard on two advertising campaigns.
