In a study from India, 60 people with noninsulin dependent (Type 2) diabetes, who took 25 grams of fenugreek seed powder daily for six months, lowered and increased control of their blood glucose levels. The researchers attributed the improvements at least partly to the herb's high soluble fiber content. Individuals with diabetes, however, should not view this as an invitation to self-treat.
